I'm Rebecca – curious, sometimes wonderfully chaotic, pretty persistent and someone who can get excited about an incredible number of things.

I like people and their stories. I love good conversations, humour, films and games, technology and anything that sparks my curiosity. When something interests me, I usually don't just want to know that something works, but also understand why.

My life hasn't always followed straight paths. There were a few detours, some pretty steep climbs and probably the odd stretch that wouldn't have appeared on any sensible map.

The details don't belong here.

But all these experiences are part of me. They have shaped the way I see people and life, and they have probably also contributed to the fact that things like trust, loyalty, openness and humanity matter so much to me today.

The name Dragonangel has been with me for a very long time and is much more than an old nickname.

The dragon stands, for me, for strength, courage, willpower and the will to survive. But also for protection. For that feeling: I'm here. I've got this. We'll get through this.

The Angel stands for the other side: empathy, warmth, listening, trust and believing in the good in people despite everything.

To me, these are not opposites.

You can be strong without becoming hard. Out of exactly that, at some point, Dragonangel was born.

It, too, has been part of my story for quite a long time.

Its beginnings go back to the early 2000s. Back then it looked different, had a different name and originally started as a joint project.

At some point it became Dragonangel.

After that, things went quiet around the site for a long time. Technology changed, and so did life – and at some point it disappeared from the web altogether.

But the name stayed.

And now Dragonangel is back.

Not as a blog, not as a business website and not with the aim of spreading my whole life across the internet.

Today, Dragonangel is simply a personal place for some of the things that accompany me, matter to me or bring me joy.

For my films and games, recipes and animal housemates. For a heart project that means a lot to me. And for a few selected stories and thoughts that say something about who I am and what matters to me.

Not all of it is big or earth-shattering.

But all of it is a small part of me.

Ich bin Rebecca – neugierig, manchmal herrlich chaotisch, ziemlich hartnäckig und ein Mensch, der sich für unglaublich viele Dinge begeistern kann.
