Hosting and server log files
My website is operated on a server of STRATO AG in Germany.
When you visit the website, technical information is collected automatically. This includes your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, the previously visited website as well as information about your browser, operating system and the technical processing of the request.
I use this data exclusively to provide the website reliably, to detect technical problems and to protect it against unauthorised access.
To protect the login area, failed login attempts are also logged. After repeated failed attempts, access may be temporarily restricted.
Processing is based on my legitimate interest in the security and functionality of the website pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Server log files are automatically deleted after 14 days.
Cookies and external content
My website does not use any cookies for visitors.
I provide fonts, images and other website content exclusively from my own server. No external content or third-party services are embedded when you visit my website.
Links to other websites only establish a connection with the respective provider when you click on them.
Contact by email
If you send me an email, I use your email address and the information in your message exclusively to handle your enquiry and for further communication.
Email communication is handled via an email service operated in Germany.
Processing is based on my legitimate interest in answering your enquiry pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Providing your details is voluntary. Without the necessary information, however, I may not be able to answer your enquiry.
Recipients of personal data
I only pass on personal data if this is necessary for the technical operation of my website or for handling your enquiry, or if there is a legal obligation to do so.
This includes in particular my hosting and email service provider.
Personal data is not transferred to countries outside the European Union.
Storage period
I only store personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations.
Email enquiries: I delete your messages as soon as your enquiry has been fully dealt with and there are no further reasons for keeping them.
Server log files: These are automatically deleted after 14 days.
Security logs: Data on failed login attempts is processed exclusively to secure the website and deleted as soon as it is no longer required for this purpose.
Your rights
Within the scope of the statutory provisions, you have the right to:
- access to the personal data I hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
- erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR),
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
In this case, I will no longer process your data unless I can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
If you believe that I am not processing your personal data lawfully, you can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR.
The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg (LfDI BW).
Changes to this privacy policy
I update this privacy policy when legal requirements or the data processing on my website change.
